Raps on top
December 6, 2006
Okay, since I can’t remember the last time the Raptors were tied for top spot in their division, I thought I had better document it.
Check it out…man o man is the East ever bad.
The Raptor’s quest for Eastern supremecy.

It’s more the Atlantic than the East which sucks.

arsenalist, I think you are right and the Eastern conference will eventually start to catch up to the Western conference and that the Atlantic division will always really suck. However, last year New Jersey did have a remarkable second half to the season, so I wouldn’t count them out quite yet.
I checked out your blog, some good reading there; if Scott Carefoot continues to suffer from a lack of posts, perhaps you can grab some traffic from the raptorblog.

You better update the standings man.
Please tell me you saw the Portland game?

Absolutely I saw the Portland game, how sweet was that. Even better, I heard the Minnesota game was a roller coaster, but unfortunately I was on a plane and missed it.
One thing I remember from last year though was that December is a time for the lessor teams to excel. I can’t remember where I read that, but if you remember last year, the Raps were also on a roll in December and things really fell apart in the new year. I don’t want to be a downer, but I am not guaranteeing playoffs just yet.
Nonetheless, 6-4 without Bosh (6 games on the road) is very very impressive.
