Wedding Planning – Part 1: CV for TJ

Okay, so the theme of this blog is absolutely, 100% all about the trials and tribulations of planning a wedding and all the fun stories that go along with it….but, since we are just at the early stages of planning, why not talk a little bit about the Raptors.

So, they traded last year’s lottery pick (and runner up for rookie of the year) Charlie Villaneuva for a third year point guard who many claim to be the fastest guard in the league – TJ Ford. Charlie was a real favourite of many, including mine and Naama’s not just because he put up the second best point game in Raptors history (48 points) and not just because he has that charming little wink, but because he seemed like a genuine nice guy – which is pretty rare in the NBA.

Sad, really sad to see him go….but, we have to put a little faith in our new GM and hope he’s doing the right things for the team, even though the trade is getting completely slammed by a lot of analysts out there, including my favourite – Bill Simmons, but at least the raptor faithful are supporting it like Scott Carefoot from raptorblog.com.

Naama shed a tear when Jalen was traded, and she was certainly sad to see Charlie go, but we will be a lot happier if the raps can finally make the playoffs this year….or at the very least be in the hunt in April.
